Privacy policy

Last updated: April 17, 2026

MatchPeek respects your privacy. This document explains what data we collect, how we use it and what rights you have.

What data we collect

Without an account: we don't collect any personal data. Your color mode and tier preferences are saved locally in your browser (localStorage) - that data never leaves your device.

With an account: when you create an account, we collect your email address, your notification preferences (favorite teams and tournaments, channels, lead time) and any push notification subscriptions (device endpoint). If you buy a subscription, Stripe passes us a customer identifier. We send emails via Amazon SES (AWS Europe, Ireland). That's it.

Cookies

We don't use tracking cookies. Only the ones strictly required for the site to work.

Analytics

We use PostHog (EU-hosted) for anonymous, aggregate analytics - we count pageviews, clicks on key buttons, and language switches. We do not identify you personally or build a user profile. A random session identifier is stored in your browser localStorage and is never linked to your account or email.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland). You enter card details directly on Stripe pages - we never see or store your card number. Stripe may use its own cookies for fraud detection (Stripe Radar). After payment we receive only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, which we store solely to manage your account and renewals.

External data

Team logos, match data and streams come from public APIs (PandaScore, Liquipedia, Twitch, YouTube, Kick). When you click a stream you land on an external site with its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your data at any time (once you have an account). Write to [email protected].
